Bald Eagle

The Bald Eagle (Scientific Name - Haliaeetus leucocephalus) may be a symbol of the USA, but we in British Columbia are fortunate to have these magnificent birds in large numbers. Bald Eagles or Sea Eagles as they are sometimes known are found in throughout Canada and much of the USA.
The photo on the left is an adult while the photo on the right is a immature (probably 2nd or 3rd year).

The photos of the adults were all taken between October 2012 and March 2013 in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia (Harrison River, Dewdney Slough) while the photo of the immature was taken in June 2012 on the Dunguness Spit on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State.
