The Greater Yellowlegs (Scientific name - Tringa melanoleuca) is a fairly large shorebird that breeds in the Northern part of Canadian provinces and migrates South to Mexico and Central America.
Can often be seen in shallow water or mud flats foraging for small crustaceans, worms and small fish. Also eats seeds and berries.
Photographs taken in August 2010 in Skagit County, Washington State near Bayview, Washington.
